Caption is written in two ink types and two different handwritings. It reads: “This was where the ‘class’ of ‘Little Africa’ lived. Many fine homes were completely destroyed, the rest ruined. At X can faintly be seen the tower of the church where the worst of the fighting took place, this was the Black’s main stronghold. Race Riot, Tulsa 1921.”
